Democratic Alliance has won both contested wards in yesterday’s by-election in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.

The DA, African National Congress , African Christian Democratic Party , Patriotic Alliance and the new kid on the block, the Social Revolutionary Workers Party , contested Ward 35 and Ward 37 in the northern Areas.In ward 37, it got 55.4% followed by the ANC with 28.7%. The wards became vacant after the DA terminated the membership of Trevor Louw and Neville Higgins who were councillors in the wards respectively.Watch a related video below:
