An investment company is alleging that Miley Cyrus' hit song 'Flowers' copied elements from Bruno Mars' 2012 track 'When I Was Your Man'. They claim similarities in melody, harmonies, chord progression and even lyrics. The firm is seeking damages and wants to prevent Cyrus from performing or distributing 'Flowers'.

Bruno MarsThey have accused the pop singer of "intentionally copying" Bruno's song When I Was Your Man in her female empowerment hit Flowers.

In the documents, Tempo Music said the similarities of the songs “is undeniable based on the combination and number of similarities between the two recordings that Flowers would not exist without When I Was Your Man." Both artists enjoyed huge success with their their songs - with both tracks reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
