CID Night Market News

Seattle,Chinatown-International District,Amazon

Seattle's popular Chinatown-International District's Night Market is returning this Saturday after a one-year hiatus.

The market that had been around for almost 20 years was temporarily canceled in 2023 because of rising costs and a lack of sponsors.

"It's a beloved cultural event, and I've been to it many times. I've taken my kids at night, and we've had dessert here," "It’s just really important for people to see there is a vibrant community here, and the more and more I spend time here, the more I see how connected it really is,"Shishido's business, Shishido Creative, will be one of the nearly 100 vendors participating in this year's night market. Shishido credits the market with being able to make business connections and meet new customers, helping her and her husband take the next step in opening a store in the CID.
