Acting KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa says teams including emergency personnel, social services have been dispatched to provide necessary assistance to snow affected areas in the province.KaMadlopha-Mthethwa says the multi-disciplinary departments are busy assisting those communities that are affected.She added that more graders have also been deployed to help clear the snow.
Gauteng Traffic police spokesperson Obed Sibasa says people should remain indoors as rescue and recovery operations continue. “Motorists and other road users are advised to postpone or suspend their travel. Traveling between Gauteng and KZN not advisable as authorities are busy clearing the snow on the road to allow traffic to flow.
