This year’s state budget clearly acknowledges the broad benefits of public higher education.

Dr. R. Lorraine Bernotsky was unanimously named the 16th president of West Chester University by the Board of Governors of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education , effective July 1, 2024.

With a $143 million increase in financial aid, many more families will now be able to afford college and access the transformative opportunities it provides. The expansion of the Ready to Succeed Scholarship Program further demonstrates the state’s commitment to student success. By raising the household income limit to $175,000 and easing GPA requirements, more students facing diverse challenges can now access financial aid.
