Police in Matimatolo in northern KwaZulu-Natal are investigating three counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
Provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says four people were allegedly shot but one survived.“Two women and a 6-year-old girl child were declared dead at the scene whilst a 12-year-old girl was taken to hospital with gunshot injuries. The motive of the killing is unknown and a search for suspects is under way,” adds Netshiunda.
Meanwhile, in the Eastern Cape, residents of Ngobozana and surrounding villages in Lusikisiki are up in arms outside the local magistrate court. This after they were told by the magistrate that there’s no scheduled court appearance for the three persons of interest who may be linked to the NgobozanaBut the magistrate told the residents who filled the gallery that they have no knowledge of any appearance of the three.
