Now, Robin Hood announcing a new desktop platform in the addition of futures and index options trading to its app earlier today, Yahoo Finance's very own.Brian Sazi caught up with Robin Hood, Ceo Vlad Tenev about what's driving some of the updates, the majority of our customers right now.Uh but if if you look at the broader market, about half of of trading happens on desktop and web because the additional screen real estate allows traders to do different things.
I mean, Robin Hood sort of has the reputation of having the younger trader or the first time trader to the people got into it during the pandemic and then kept at it. Um So there is some ground to, to kind of make up to get back to, to prior peaks where it was in 2021.And then I also think where they could compete uh continuously on market share would be if you start getting those rate cuts.Uh And then the new product offerings have some compete for market share and, and let's talk about the other thing that's coming up that could also affect um not just Robin Hood, but some of the other uh platforms like a Coinbase, for example, that you also cover.
