The singer is starting a new music ministry that aims to revitalize rural farms and communities

Country music singer Oliver Anthony recently announced he will be stepping back from the music industry, just over a year after his single reached no. 1 on the Billboard charts. “I’ve decided that moving forward, I don’t need a Nashville music company,” Anthony said. “I don’t even need to exist within the space of music. So I’m looking at switching my whole business over to a traveling ministry.”

Anthony went on to say that he plans to continue releasing music through his new ministry called “The Rural Revival Project.” A “completely DIY” show is slated for Saturday.
