Acting Kota Setar District Police Chief, Superintendent Syed Basri Syed Ali, said the three individuals had initially claimed in their report that the company's van they were driving had been robbed and that a sack containing RM200,000 had been taken. "Their tactic was exposed after the police grew suspicious of their initial statements, which appeared dubious.
