Created by Paul Terry and Izzy Klein for Terrytoons, who in turn made him for 20th Century Fox, Mighty Mouse is an anthropomorphic superhero who made his official debut in 1942’s The Mouse of Tomorrow. The character has since appeared in a number of shorts, cartoons, and more.has been tapped to write the screenplay for the movie. Liberman previously co-penned the script for 2021’s Free Guy, which starred Reynolds and was directed by Shawn Levy.
Brad Butler will oversee the project for Paramount Animation. No casting information is available at this time and a director has not yet been announced. “Maximum Effort has several projects in development with Paramount including Boy Band, a comedy about a music group’s reunion; Starter Villain, an adaptation of the bestselling science-fiction novel by John Scalzi; and Eloise, a big-screen version of the beloved family book series,” Variety’s article notes. “In February, Maximum Effort announced it was renewing its deal with Paramount through 2026.
Reynolds was recently seen reprising his role as Wade Wilson in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine, which is now available to stream on Disney+.
