The Dow, S&P 500 and the small-cap Russell 2000 touched fresh highs during Monday’s session. Here’s what CNBC is watching going into Tuesday.

The Russell 2000 also hit a new high on Monday. It is up 11% so far in November, and the index has gained 8% since Donald Trump won the presidential election. The small-cap benchmark's progress this month outpaces that of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which is up 7% in November. Month to date, the Nasdaq is up 5.3% and the S&P 500 is up nearly 5%.Two key pieces of data come out on Tuesday. The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Indices are due at 9 a.m. ET, and the new home sales report is out at 10 a.m. CNBC's housing reporter Diana Olick will cover both.
