KLUANG: A 52-year-old smallholder farmer has lost RM300,000 of his life savings to an investment scam he saw on Facebook.
ACP Bahrin added that after making the payments, the victim received no promised returns and was frequently given excuses.The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating, which provides for a penalty of up to 10 years in prison, whipping, and a fine upon conviction,” he said.
