The Oyo State Government has announced the commencement of a re-verification exercise for property owners and claimants affected by the acquisition of lands along the first segment of the Ibadan Circular Road. The government stated that the re-verification exercise would cover landed property in the Alago and Ajota areas.

The Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Sunday Odukoya, made these declarations in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Monday. Odukoya explained that the exercise aims to capture data for about three thousand property owners and claimants affected in the area.

He emphasized the governor's desire to prevent claimants from experiencing unnecessary hardship. “The governor instructed us to listen to these people and assist them with the capturing process to ensure their compensation is paid quickly. This is a way of preventing them from experiencing pain and agony, which is why we started the verification promptly.
