Kimberly Wiegand says in the first 30 seconds of each day, she briefly forgets what happened to her 18-month-old daughter, Chloe.
"Then it comes back, and I relive what happened," she told NBC's Today Show about two weeks after the toddler fell to her death from deck 11 of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Freedom of the Seas. The ship was docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on July 7, according to José Carmona, a spokesman for the local Port Authority.
The grand father held him up to the window so who is responsible.
All about blame and cash ! Shouldnt she be blaming Trump too ?
Parents are to blame not the cruise line. Their fault they let their kid be with her grandfather who was not paying attention
The only people responsible are the parents...
Naturally
This was just bad parenting. RIP little one.
Where were the parents when the kid fall? Sad story for the kid when had irresponsible parents
Right, blame someone else because you weren't watching your child. TakeResponsibility
Do yourself and everyone else a favor and don’t take toddlers on a cruise
Even if there HAD been a window, why would you lift the baby up there to bang on it?
Sorry but looking a fault of her grand father.
Yeah, Grandpa puts him up on a balcony windowsill, he falls and it's Royal Caribbean's fault Take responsibility Grandpa...
Bs
I struggle with parents who can’t adapt to having kids & insist on dragging little ones around on holidays & such like with little or nothing in it for them. Once you’re a family you’re much better off having family style holidays. Cruises are pretty sh*t at the best of times.
Parents must be WatchFul! Their Blame ?
None of us know the full sad story but if I lift a child to the window as they stated, then sadly it would seem negligence on the adult. It is so sad. We need to wait for the full investigation
When will people learn that the cruise industry doesn’t care about safety. Only money, when one of these death traps goes down with 6000 on board maybe there will be change.
I don’t know how a family would move past a tragedy like this. It makes me sick to think of the guilt that grandfather must carry. The cruise ship should have to anticipate an adult placing a toddler on the railing though - it’s so tragic all the way around.
Royal Caribbean did not pick the child up and put her on a railing in front of an open window. You can tell when a window is open and don’t put children in front of it. No blame on the company. The grandfather admitted to picking her up and putting her on the railing. Case closed
It’s a tragedy but i don’t see how it’s the company’s fault -an adult should be in charge of such a young child.
The mother is an attorney. I wonder deep in her heart how much she thinks it's RC's fault vs. the grandfather's fault. She can't think that it's 100/0 in RC's way, can she?
This is so heartbreaking
Grandpa was negligent. Not everyone should babysit. Parenting is a big responsibility. Child neglect is child abuse. There is no excuse for child abuse.
Horrific story, but total negligence of the parentsresponsibilities What were they doing? Drinking? BS'ing? Using cellphones? No baby that small should ever have eyes off them, ESPECIALLY out in the World Moron parenting does it again! losers
I don’t know about y’all but I wouldn’t take my toddler on a cruise nor would I let it out of my sight. That’s parental negligence.
Maybe but the story itself is very sad
Such a cute boy he was😭
Heartbroken 😔 with this senseless tragedy.
Ive been on a cruise ship and realized it’s not a place to go with little kids.
As well they should. Countless other toddlers fell to their deaths exactly the same way.🙄
I am sorry - but I travel with RC and you can tell when the windows are open. Moreover, he placed the baby on a railing/ledge. It was pure negligence and I do not think the family will win. There is a reason this does not happen often.
🤓
As they should
It was the company. You don't put open windows over the ocean. Period. Idiots.
