About 30 Nigerians are said to have indicated interest in securing the United States EB-5 foreign investor visa.

The Managing Director, Emerging Markets for Atlantic American Partners, Daniel Ryan, disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Lagos on Monday.

The amount, which is the least investment in the programme, is under the category tagged ‘Targeted Employment Area investment’.The programme, operated by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, was established in 1990 to facilitate increased investment in the US economy. The investor can permanently live and work in the US with their spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21.

The 30 Nigerians, who have indicated interest, according to him, will have to undergo background checks to ascertain the legitimate source of funding and ensure they have not been convicted of any crime.

Omo d rich socialist are running away from what they've destroyed. AfricaMustBeTrulyFREE Founding fathers like Emperor Salasi & Nkurumah fought against colonialism & died on d job 2day, our children are running from d fathers who've become Neocolonialist in Africa themselves

We want to go to countries where people paid huge prices to ensure things work. It's not bad. We also cannot run away from our own inherited and ongoing problems. We must confront them. We must uproot those who don't want the problems solved. When will people flee to Nigeria?

Brilliant

If these people are politicians and they are given d US green card that will imply a support of corruption

royaltyuso Not bad. You not only get a business, you get free schools, free healthcare, guaranteed power supply, clean environment....

Even the rich are voting with their feet

No single firm is in charge of the programme as you’ve reported. The Ryan firm, like many hundred others, only provides guidance services to applicants for a fee. US Citizens &Immigration dept is in charge.

Hope the USEmbassyAbuja would don their background checks and ensure none with proceeds of corruption and unexplainable wealth gets this Visa
