The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. has welcomed six students from the Kansas Corn Collegiate Academy who have expressed their interest to learn more about the Philippine corn industry with a specific focus on policy and trade.

Agriculture Attaché Dr. Josyline Javelosa with visiting Kansas Corn Collegiate Academy Students and Kansas Corn representatives Emily Koop and Stacy Mayo-Martinez.

During their interaction, Javelosa commended the Kansas student program, which allowed participants to examine in more depth various factors and trends that may impact the corn industry and their future careers in the field of agribusiness. According to its website, the Kansas Corn Collegiate Academy provides college students the opportunity to dive deeper into the corn industry, providing insights into the opportunities and hurdles that lie ahead of the corn industry and how their future career paths may be impacted.
