Six arrested after the looting of foreign-owned shops in Soweto via SABCNewsOnline

Police have confirmed that spaza shops were looted in areas including Dobsonville, Rockville, Zola, Orlando, Meadowlands, Dobsonville, Emndeni, Moletsane, White City and Zondi on Wednesday nightof foreign-owned shops in Soweto.

Earlier some members of the community in the area said foreign-owned shops had been looted to avenge the incidents that happened in thelast week when foreign nationals attacked police during a raid on those who trade in counterfeit goods. Police have confirmed that spaza shops were looted in areas including Dobsonville, Rockville, Zola, Orlando, Meadowlands, Dobsonville, Emndeni, Moletsane, White City and Zondi on Wednesday night.Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa will be in Soweto this morning to assess the situation following the looting of foreign owned shops last night.
