Businesses across America are scrambling to assess the impact of the latest escalation

. On August 13th Mr Trump said that he had a “very, very productive call” with China’s leaders. But few on the ground take seriously the prospect of a lasting reconciliation. Jake Parker of the-China Business Council, a lobby group, reports that his members have realised that the threat of future levies would still lurk even if a deal were struck and tariffs lifted. Blows to China’s economy could also spill back to America.

And Mr Trump has plenty more ways of injecting fear into the economy. There was and is a need to address China’s behavior. But this is antithetical to capitalism as the US insists it practices. They’re asking the govt to intervene when they need to handle the situation themselves. Capitalism for the people socialism for the corporations.

It is sad though that China does exceed the welcome it is accorded by some countries and dumps items that are not required by that country. Steel is a good example. China should find out which country is short of what item and send them exactly that which they need.

That is not the real issue as they are overly indebted with stock buybacks and mergers-example: Kraft.

Trump will eventually break. He can even increase all tariffs to 1,000% on all Chinese goods (then he'll see how come nothing on the shelves? Where can I buy this and that? At UPenn, he never took international economics or international trade courses.

Left & Right , part's of it, agree Trump's a Myth-maker, and this exact message - myth.maker - should be relayed more freq/, as base would'nt regard it as nothing but reason& rationale garble, thous it's precision is not white supremacist dangerous.
