Where does all the credit card surcharge (sometimes 2%) money go to then ?

Perhaps if small business owners aka 'convenience stores' sold less rubbish and didn't hike up the prices on the other stuff that people might actually want to buy.......

Well that’s what their tax return says.

Maybe there is a reason why so many businesses are now asking if I'd like a receipt.

And this news since....? Glad to see you guys are ahead of the curve

Chinese n Indians do it because they could cheat on tax Look at convenience stores no Aussies there

Doesn’t surprise me one bit

Ain’t that the truth

Waiting for all the anti capitalist socialists will have never owned a business, paid staff, rent ect ect. Go start a business if it's that glorious & easy. Then stop bitching and demanding other people's wealth and create your own .

I used to have 2 jobs, I worked full time and part time on weekends 7 months of the year.

Some of our largest companies also have no taxable incomes.

And superannuation for self employed ...

That Doozey “taxable income” distorts the veracity of this reporting.

Small business owners have been saying this for years and years, this report wont make a lick of difference.

I call bullshit on this. It uses net income declared to the ATO and doesn’t take into account that these business are probably significantly under declaring their cash takings

. ... and I bet most of them are men, right? GenderPayGap WagesGrowth
