'Not business as usual'. This design store in Redfern is one of more than 2,100 Australian businesses that will close their doors, take long lunches or give employees the day off on Friday to attend the climate strike

It's not often you hear employers endorsing strike action, but Redfern design store Koskela will be closing at 11am on Friday so its 30-odd staff can join family and friends at the students' climate protest at the Domain.

Koskela co-founder Sasha Titchkovsky and her partner attended the last climate strike with their children, and she was excited to see so many businesses involved this time."Politically they couldn’t say any more that it was just some young school kids that were wanting to disrupt things," she said. "Actually this is an issue that a lot of Australian people feel really passionate about.

Future Super had wanted to target 50 employers, but word spread and by Thursday the number had climbed to more than 2000.

If (AGW = (0.03 x 0.0004 x atmosphere)) then {LOL}

What a bunch of complete and total fucken idiots!!! Absolute laughing stock to most of Australia... lose a days trade and go and embarrass yourself as total tools. Thanks for naming Koskela as I wanted give them a dime of money for business now

a day off and not go to the fake climate strike and enjoy there day with mates doing other things and just fib about it when asked. I am ignoring it and not wasting my time on this climate change hoax. I just buy coffee and watch the sheep go by & look at them being silly😎

That's what, like point buggerall of 1%? Still, it's their money so go for it.

Well.... Have a nice long....long lunch brake mmm coffee and cake. Saw the ad in the news paper saying that 700 companies support the global climate strike, started by nation tertiary education union ( left wing) with posters on polls & rubbish bins. I hope kids just don't have

Stupidity reigns. Climate change has been with us for 4.5 billion years Our attempt to moderate its effect is questionable and Australia's contribution to greenhouse gases is negligible.

Take the day off. Stay in Bed.

Climate strike..............any excuse for a day off🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lord, what fools these mortals be!
