Google buys Fitbit for $2.1BILLION in a bid to rival Apple on wearables

Google has purchased Fitbit in a bid to challenge Apple in the wearable market. The company purchased Fitbit on Friday for $2.1 billion. This will be Google's first foray into the wearable market. A deal is slated to finalize next year and is over Fitbit's $1.
