Australia has for months been battling scores of fires across the country’s east coast that have killed 29 people and millions of animals, destroyed more than 2,500 homes and scorched an area roughly one-third the size of Germany. With the crisis illustrating the threat of a changing climate, a Deloitte survey global business leaders showed 81% of Australian executives believe climate change will harm their company.
The findings add pressure on Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who is under a barrage of criticism for his government’s handling of the crisis.
Most importantly, it will damage people and nature.
Media driven phony fearmongering. Arson isn't climate change
'climate change costs will damage companies' -fixed that for you
Wow that was a brilliant deduction.
and it's all about the COMPANIES
Won’t someone think of the companies.
Arson is man made...climate change is not.
Awe, poor companies
*Gasp* Not the companies!
Dunno how campaign finance works down under but might we better discern where they really stand by looking at which politicians the businesses donated to?
Companies? What about the billions starved, downed and shattered by it? ecocide
Think of the companies!
Yes, the first thing we should worry about are the businesses. Nevermind, well, our survival.
They dare not say otherwise.
But the fires were started by arsons, this has been reported.
Wow. They finally might have a reason to fight it. Greedy bastards
only because companies 1st damage the environment
