The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said it will seek the advice of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) after some local officials in Taal Volcano eruption-affected areas failed to comply with the department’s order closing business establishments in Tagaytay City.

Life still going on for the fishermen in Brgy. Banadero, Aplaya, Tanauan, Batangas as they catch fish despite the warning of the immense explosion of the Taal Volcano.

Densing said the guidance the DILG sought from the NDRRMC is necessary as the agency is composed of the heads of the defense, social welfare, health, finance, energy, and other government departments where pressing matters can be discussed appropriately.
