A MECHANIC has outed a wannabe influencer who demanded a free exhaust and claimed he could "make or break" his family business.

In exchange for the free work he promised to promote the garage in his 22,000-member Facebook car group. But the influencer never booked in an appointment – so when he enquired a few weeks later, he was told the garage had been booked up until March. Minutes later, he left a review on Zaustworx's Facebook page calling them “cowboys” and “f***ing morons” for making him wait for the free job.Gary, 52, posted their entire message exchange on Facebook, writing that he “would not tolerate threats”.

Gary, who been in the industry for 27 years, said the response to his social media fight-back had been overwhelming.
