Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin argued today that the coronavirus pandemic presents 'a great investment opportunity,' insisting that global markets spooked by the pandemic will rebound eventually

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin argued Friday that the coronavirus pandemic presents "a great investment opportunity," insisting that global markets spooked by the public health crisis will rebound eventually.

"This is a short-term issue. It may be a couple of months, but we're going to get through this, and the economy will be stronger than ever," Mnuchin"You know, I look back at people who bought stocks after the crash in 1987, people who bought stocks after the financial crisis," he continued. "For long-term investors, this will be a great investment opportunity."

Despite the secretary's optimism, international anxiety over the coronavirus has provoked a historically negative reaction in recent days from Wall Street, alarmed at least in part by President Donald Trump's management of the mushrooming outbreak.

I think hes right.

The douche lord has spoken invest in Orange tanning products.

What a vile remark. He is a ghoul.

Isn’t it time for his head to roll? Be reassuring, not an ass.

I guess there are two types of people in the world. Those who see the impending deaths of thousands of vulnerable Americans due to government incompetence as a failure of humanity and those that see it as an investment opportunity.

Jillian1008 The UNcredible Mr. Limpet...

It's not about the money!!! It should be about the public!

Dude reads the obits for vacant apartments.

Friggin monster

Disgusting

There. We're all better now.

Can't argue with that - Pandemics pass usually in a few months. People get back to doing what they've always done, working, shopping, eating out, traveling, etc. and so on.

It will be interesting to witness the machinations as the Republican Spin Machine tears itself apart trying to put themselves in a positive light through this pandemic. 239. days. 04. hours. 51. minutes until the 2020 US Presidential Election. But who's counting?

THE FORECLOSURE KING SPEAKS! ALL HAIL THE FORCLOSURE KING!

Yeah......NOBODY tell any information about those who tested positive and are doing fine? The stock market will survive here's your chance to put a few dollars on one of those markets that you always wanted to put a few dollars on

Well, yes they will. But with different stock/product focus & not before many losses in obsolete infrastructure & commodities. changemanagement

Voters should remember in November that Trump's Secretary of the Treasury encouraged people to make money off of other people's misery, suffering and death. But I guess it's what wealthy Republicans do.

Yea bec that’s what’s important

His nuance and sensitivity knows no bounds.

... ass-hat ...

He is gross.

He’s a 💩

Munchin is 100% right. We own thousands of acres of farmland throughout the midwest. I mortgaged some of the land and will slowly invest over $5 Million in the market in the next two weeks.

Putting aside the human aspect of it, which Mnuchin is good at, he’s right.

1. He's right; it's a great investment opportunity. 2. He's right; it will rebound eventually. 3. NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO TALK ABOUT MONEY STEVE.

Says the Foreclosure King. 🙄
