PETALING JAYA: A special Cabinet committee will engage the business community to address their problems due to the movement control order (MCO), says the International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti).

This committee will be co-chaired by two Senior Ministers: International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“The Cabinet meeting yesterday has agreed to establish a special Cabinet committee to develop strategic measures to safeguard Malaysia’s economy and labour market impacted by Covid-19, with the aim of striking a balance between the nation’s economic priorities and the effective enforcement of the movement control order .

“Members of the special committee will also comprise those involved in the nation’s economy and security.

MCO is definitely needed but please allow businesses to start again soon at least some %, if not the employers not able to sustain and to cut employees salaries and jobs. Manufactures suffered too and they hire many people. Employers must ensure social distancing at workplace.
