The city is set to enter Phase 1 next week, with Phase 2 still weeks to months away, giving restaurants time to plan and build outdoor seating areas. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more storiesNew York City unveiled on Thursday its plan for outdoor dining as the city is set to enter its first phase of gradual reopening.
Phase 2 allows nonessential businesses, excluding malls, casinos, gyms, and movie theaters, among others, to reopen. The second phase also allows office workers to return to work.
I wonder if the city council has ever walked streets of NY. Phase 2 allows ofc wrkers etc back to wk AND restaurants to use sidewalks seating cust 6ft apart while also making space for disabled. Seriously 😄😄Do they really believe there's that much space? I gotta see this😄😄
Overwhelming support from the rat and pigeon unions.
If there’s one good thing to come out of covid i hope its more cities close streets to traffic in high restaurant areas during summer months. Would encourage more walking and make outdoor dining so much better.
