The onset of Covid-19 has granted the drug industry a significant business opportunity. Whether manufacturers should take full advantage is more complicated than investors might appreciate.

Gilead Sciences will likely set a commercial price for its antiviral treatment remdesivir in the weeks ahead, after donating its initial manufactured supply. A round of vaccine candidates is also in development from major drug companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co. and Pfizer, as well as from promising biotech upstarts.

AaronBack Any way you look at pharma costs to consumers in US, it's too much for the medically neediest among us.

AaronBack Good thing Lancet proved $30 hydroxychloroquine to be useless, otherwise that'd mean nobody would need the $5000 drug, who's almost a placebo. Oh wait, Lancet just retracted their study, it turned out to be a fraud. They published that trash without verifying it... I wonder why?

AaronBack You forget one thing : most of the 0.5 Millions Covid dead people were customers under heavy chronical treatment. Makes a lot of good customers gone and forever
