Ex-Upko rep Limus Jury denies leaving party due to ‘business interests’

Tuesday, 16 Jun 2020 03:38 PM MYTKOTA KINABALU, June 16 — Kuala Penyu assemblyman Datuk Limus Jury has denied leaving his party to join Perikatan Nasional due to multi-million-ringgit business interests.

“We are not an ‘Ali Baba’ company that subcontracts our projects out to others. It is baseless and prejudiced to say that the project was why I left Upko,” he said. He reiterated that he and Ratib left Upko due to a loss of confidence in the party leadership who were no longer aligned to the federal government of the day and were in support of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“Even without it, I still did what I could and gave my best to the people with what I could,” he said.
