Move comes after a minister called for stern action over the alleged printing of the Jata Negara logo inside shoes.

Police will call several shoe manufacturing company staff over alleged printing of the national coat of arms or Jata Negara logo on the inside of its shoes to facilitate investigations into the matter.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department deputy director DCP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the case was being investigated under Section 5 of the Emblems and Names Act, as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
