Insider Intelligence publishes hundreds of insights, charts, and forecasts on the Digital Health industry with the Digital Health Briefing. Facebook AI Research and NYU Langone released results of a blind test revealing the effectiveness of their AI system, dubbed FastMRI, to accelerate MRI scans.Radiologists who examined scans taken with either FastMRI or the traditional method couldn't tell the difference between the two, and they were able to pinpoint abnormalities and pathologies in all scans, TechCrunch.

Radiology is ripe for AI transformation since the tech can streamline time-intensive processes for a shrinking pool of radiologists. More than half of US physicians AI for imaging and diagnostics will be highly impactful over the next five years — and radiology has been touted by innovative health systems as a prime use case for medical AI.
