Small business owners who initially supported Victoria's tough lockdown are now losing faith, saying they're tired of playing 'guessing games' over what the Premier will announce on Sunday.

When Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced that state's tough stage 4 restrictions, Melbourne carwash owner Belinda Bedin was very supportive. As Melbourne is set to hit 100 days in lockdown this weekend, businesses are pleading to reopen

"To be going on for so long, I've lost all faith, support, confidence in what's going on, it's just too long," she said.Ms Bedin said she was confused as to why her carwash business, which requires people to wash their own cars in large bays using virus-killing disinfectants, isn't allowed to open. "Since this week there have been suggestions the business restrictions won't be lifted as planned, everybody's basically hit a point now where they're completely fed-up."

We always see the reports of people fed up. What about the business owners who have had to close but are supportive and understanding of the restrictions. I see them tweeting but never reflected in the news.

This article needs to be labelled as an opinion piece. It’s not news. Buttrosed

We are so close but you continue to promote toxic undermining of public health. Is this politically motivated? Why not highlight the vast majority of community who are working together to see this pandemic under control and are satisfied with safe easing of restrictions?

Nope. I’m perfectly fine.

Wow, this is almost completely one-sided EliasClure. How about instead of 'defended', use 'explained' and present some of the information about mystery cases and active cases that was explained? That might at least achieve a slight perception of balance. ThisIsNotJournalism

We've been wasting away in our homes for long enough. Time to open things up.

This is something that the Herald Sun would post

Tired but proud. Signed Victorian. I am alive. Yay!!! 😀

I’ve been a supporter of the lockdown. But I agree it’s time to start easing it back.

Moods? Or managing a pandemic to keep people safe?

And yet media outlets like the ABC still support Dan Andrews as he gaslights the whole of Victoria including his party internally not rocket science you can see this guy is skilled at gaslighting and I mean only sheep would follow this man you can't Gaslight real people who think

My mood is positive

If I was running vic, I'd be very petty and just open it all. Let them have at it. See how shit it all is in 6 months

Some businesses are re engineering how they will work. Some are using the time and the govt grants to renovate. You see the difference between those businesses working to survive and those sitting back doing nothing

Mood not changing, just the continued reporting telling us so.
