WarnerMedia operating income fell 38 percent in the third quarter, led by a 91.6 percent drop at HBO due to HBO Max investment. It also saw a $960 million hit from the coronavirus pandemic to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.

Telecom giant AT&T on Thursday reported its third-quarter results, the second set of financials and subscriber data fully affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

For WarnerMedia, it detailed a $960 million hit to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in the third quarter ended in September. AT&T also reported WarnerMedia's revenue and earnings for the latest quarter. Third-quarter revenue reached $7.5 billion, down 10.0 percent, amid declines at Warner Bros. and HBO ,"partially offset by an increase at Turner" of 5.6 percent. The entertainment unit posted a 36 percent drop in adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and a 38 percent decline in operating income to $1.

They have so much content that isnt being utilized on Max anime section is porus has maybe 18 titles, they own hanna barbera and cartoon network but the kids animated section is barely updated since launch, theyve made new programming for max but barely anything 4 kids/animated

Maybe they should’ve expanded HBO max to Roku lol
