Workers with modest incomes, between about $25,000 and $34,000, lost $413 for every $1,000 in extra earnings, the highest clawback of any income level

Just behind them were the top 10 per cent of workers, with incomes over $114,570, who gave up $402 for every $1,000 of additional earnings.

We often default to decrease the benefits provided without thinking about the impact that it has on people over the longer term The Canadian Press obtained a copy of the reports and associated briefing note through the Access to Information Act. Breaking: Socialist Trudeau Liberal government impoverishes nation

Why doesn’t NP follow up with an article about the opposite end of the spectrum...how government workers are completely unaffected, at home receiving full pay for doing nothing and guaranteed jobs to return to. Why are they not laid off and required to depend on CERB?

And yet government workers and those making the decisions that are destroying people’s lives and finances, are sailing through this pandemic completely unaffected financially ...guaranteed jobs, full pay, benefits and pensions. People need to wake up to this injustice.

Well, duh.

Just breaking: rain is wet!

And Canada’s MSM including helped to propagate this fear that drove the lockdowns that wrecked Canada’s economy. But, hey, PostMedia gets $140k per week from Justin Trudeau.

Shocked, I tell you.

Federal study details workers hit hardest by tax, benefit system for extra earningsNewly released documents show Finance Department officials calculated that workers near the bottom of the income ladder are dinged hardest for extra earnings than anybody else, including those at the top. Of course. That’s how all pyramid schemes work. The guys at the bottom always get screwed the hardest. Their was paying work, people are just to lazy to do manual labor.
