A farm-to-market road in Nueva Ecija was recently completed to provide better transport of various agricultural produce in the province, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Tuesday.

The 1.6-kilometer road was constructed in Barangay Balaring in the municipality of General Mamerto Natividad.

According to DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineer Ricardo Puno, the farm-to-market road involves concreting of a two-lane road under a P12.9-million fund under the 2020 General Appropriations Act . Meanwhile, in the nearby province, Pampanga, a new slope protection structure along Abacan River in Angeles City was constructed to protect surrounding communities from flooding.
