The Central Bank of Nigeria had on Friday ordered banks and other financial institutions to identify persons and entities operating cryptocurrency exchanges and close all such accounts.Defending the new policy, the CBN had in a statement on Sunday said cryptocurrency was promote illegal activities and raised risks, among other reasons.
