Mathias Cormann has been selected as the new head of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in a move Prime Minister Scott Morrison calls a"recognition of Australia's global agency".

"This is a great honour for Mathias who has worked tirelessly over several months to engage with leaders, senior ministers and officials of OECD member nations from Europe, Asia and the Americas," Mr Morrison said in a statement on Saturday morning. He said it was the most senior appointment of an Australian candidate to an international body for decades.

Mr Cormann said he was honoured to be selected and would focus on promoting stronger, cleaner, fairer economic growth and raising employment and living standards following the coronavirus pandemic.

Anti environmental anything

Ahh the south African posing as Belgium

The left: Boooo, boooo him, how can we cancel him, wait, who is he again?

Well the OECD is now stuffed

Looks like our tax paying dollars to fly him on a private jet for his interview worked out well. AuspolSoCorrupt

Big swinging dick energy!

Ugh!

Pathetic!

Jobs for the boys. I thought he was retiring

LOL. I can see the tall poppy syndrome is alive and well. Let the bat huggers, tree thinkers and race warriors unite! AU has considerable input to the world stage! What a travesty! LOL

I guess everyone on Twitter knows more than the OECD selection process !

Oh look the dog sits in the kennel

You know the planet is screwed when someone that incompetent and ideologically-driven is given top global gigs.

I wonder how long it takes for the OECD to realise he is a “human handbrake” for the environment.

If corruption is Global Agency then every member of the LNP has it by the truckload.

Australia doesn't even give women or first nations people agency. Why do we deserve any global agency? OECD This is a terrible decision.

Another episode of The Imaginarium of Mathias Cormannisis There goes the planet, in the name of ‘profits’ ...

Gobsmackingly stupid decision. Australian agency, what an effing joke.

There goes the neighbourhood.
