IPOH: Datuk Seri Rina Harun has brushed aside questions related to her settlement of debt owed to a French production company.

She was asked to comment on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission report lodged by DAP Youth vice-chairman Jenny Choy that questioned her source of wealth in settling the debt. This comes after French production company Sarl Novision said through lawyer Mark Ho that Rina had settled the undisclosed amount owed earlier last month.

It was reported that Rina – through her now-defunct companies Eurofine Sdn Bhd, Fine Mobile Network Sdn Bhd and Fine TV Network Sdn Bhd – had purchased several comedy shows and documentaries worth millions of ringgit from the Paris-based production company between 2011 and 2013.In May 2014, Rina and another company director, Ida Rahayu Md Noor, entered into a guarantee agreement with Sarl Novovision that they would personally and jointly undertake all liabilities of the companies.
