Ministry to ensure adequate supplies despite partial closure of KL wholesale market

Sunday, 09 May 2021 11:45 AM MYT

Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the ministry’s enforcement division would increase monitoring and enforcement in the run-up to Aidilfitri, which is expected to fall on May 13. “Although this is not the first time it has happened, the situation must be handled properly so that it will not be made an excuse to raise prices of certain items,” he said in a statement here today.

He said the ministry is consistently carrying out inspections and monitoring to ensure all parties adhere to trade laws.
