Very sad for businesses in Victoria

I shop at large national chain stores anyway

Businesses close all the time for many reasons. Is there something special about this one that makes it newsworthy?

Capitalism's a bitch!

Let's be clear, the lockdowns are targeted at very few business who suffer the costs, without significant compensation by those who are supposed to be kept safe by the action. Newsagents, food, supermarkets, Bunnings, office workers, construction, tradies all allowed to open.

More bleeding heart stories

Some are sacrificing a lot for the “safety” of others. Perhaps those who benefit from lockdown and suffer no financial penalty need to compensate those who do suffer financial hardship.

Stop bloody complaining!

The Fed Gov should be fitting the bill for such business' at all times. No ifs or buts. Lockdowns will continue for years to come, because thats whats required to keep the population alive...

You can tell the obvious Labour trolls jumping to comment on this thread!

90,000 businesses were forced to close their doors during the recent lockdown. These business are still waiting on the emergency vicgov funding too that they applied for 3 weeks ago. These same businesses have also been forced close fora full 290 days since March 2021. Very sad!

Lockdowns are a tried and true method of containing viral spread. The purpose is to save lives and health. They are not instituted to upset small business owners. Your bottom line is impacted when your customers die.

Thats progress shoes online are the norm why didnt they cross over to that

Finally! Real news about real Australians without the propaganda.

Another nail in the coffin for Daniel Andrews’ government.
