President Rodrigo Duterte, who touted improvements in streamlining government processes under his term, expressed hope the succeeding administration will keep the Central Business Portal going to further improve the country's ease of doing business.

Among the things President Rodrigo Duterte wants his successor to keep going in the next administration is the Central Business Portal, he revealed on Monday during his last State of the Nation Address.

The establishment of the Central Business Portal is among the provisions contained in the Ease of Doing Business Act, which the President signed into law in 2018. However, Duterte also created a new anti-red tape office just this April -- the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Streamlining of Government Processes or OPASGP.The President also said the national ID rollout will help streamline transactions for Filipinos, hoping it will facilitate better services and access even to those living in far-flung places.
