Collins Chabane Municipal ward councillor, Phillip Munyai says the community conducted a search after a 25-year-old woman did not return home.Police have opened an inquest docket. Munyai says the lack of water supply forces the villagers to risk their lives fetching water for domestic use and doing laundry at the crocodile-infested Nandoni Dam.
“The family noticed her when she was going for washing but they didn’t notice when she got back. We went there and search for her body. We were disappointed when we found that the body is already lost, eaten by the crocodile – only her head which is left. So we plead to the government to speed up water distribution for the community. We don’t have drinking water, washing water since the establishment of the Nandoni Dam.
Sad 😔

Yeeyi, people in here trying to put the blame on everything but our government. If she had running water, she wouldn't have went there. And it's not the crocodile's fault to act like a crocodile.
The type of things that were only heard from other countries until recently
Sad thing is they'll still vote for the ANC given the opportunity😢
It's sad that in 2022 we still have some of our people still without basic running water, what happened to Mandelas better life for all, this MYANC have been selling us dreams since 94! ParliamentFire CyrilRamaphosa
This is the cost of graft & a lack of service delivery ...
But they forcing vaccines on us because they are 'saving lives' start here
2022.
If only we had a government that did what they were mandated to do. This loss of life is so unnecessary.
This_Sisi Bathooong
Now the crocodile has tested human flesh.. eish🙆♂️ condolences to the family.
May soul rest in peace!
ThaboMasterP Reason for dis villages around or near Nadoni Dam dey don't have water so minister of water and sanitation and mec of must account to dis
I detest MYANC so much.
Poverty and poor service delivery have led a young woman to her early grave, this is just one of many heart wrenching hardships black people have to put up with on a daily basis. She risked her life just to get access to sufficient water, amanzi nje. 💔
The taps in Tshitomboni are scheduled to open 4 day week, from Monday to Thursday, but sometimes can go months without water especially when the schools closes for the holidays
Silly_boy_Kaos They will still vote for anc regardless...
Nandoni Dam is haunted
Yoh! 😩
Di satlile go bafetsa di car accident 😭😭😭😭😭
They can spend billions on vaccine but no millions to supply water to the people, that big dam is useless if it can't supply the community with water
The ANC must be blamed here.
Konje they keep voting ANC🤔 Hmmm
Apparently the crocodile chow the women's body, the only thing which is left it's the head, they're going to bury the head only🤞🤦
terrible 🥺
Bakithi!
I know we all probably might have heard about Bitcoin but don't know how it works, I tried it in a week ago by a man who recommended me to TraderMNelisi on Twitter she guides me through and i made a return of $10500 after a week of trading, connect with her TraderMNelisi
AncMustGo
Under the ANC lead government
This is the results of ANC corruption, water is available in the dam but it is not reaching the communities. What a sad story 😢😢🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️
nthutlemlambo just sad 😑
People are that village must have dogs in their yards. Those things are afraid of Dogs
PresidencyZA you have failed. 💔💔all you do is to call a family meeting and close the country. People have a right to water and sanitation.
DiscoNicholas PresidencyZA CyrilRamaphosa DDMabuza DlaminiZuma LindiweSisuluSA MbalulaFikile leadership can you please provide our people with water & sanitation its so painful to see such stories in 2022 while you guys have been in power since 1994.
The mayor of Vembe District Municipality must take responsibility.
in 2022? imagine
This is so painful 😣 😓 yhoooo imagine the family only finding her head 💔 What a painful death
If you were to check the percentage of voter support for ANC in that area is over 70%🤦♂️; I keep saying this country is a huge mental institution😳,..
Kanti what happened to Nandoni water purification plant to supply community with water? I worked on those designs some years ago.
Yooh that's terrible, may her soul rest in peace. 💔 As we know nothing will change life will continue like nothing happened. The poor are taken for granted 😭
People are talking as if they know the sufferings the lady, 'may her soul rest in peace', endured. Can a sane person say 'I don't feel sorry' when a person has died, the one you don't even know of the party she voted (if she really voted)? I didn't see 100% party votes in Limpopo
MYANC read above.
I blame people who vote for the ANC..
Can't wait till we citizens, start a class law suit against this government!
And those crocodiles are still going to Chow them, because we're led by fools called the N.N.C . It's 2022 & houses don't have house taps how? Every house must have a tap outside and including water supply inside the house, for kitchen and bathroom use.
Tag that witch, Lindiwe Sisulu
Only vaccines are the governments focus
All that is needed is a tap with running water!!! But nope,it would seem like a big favour if someone is to do it
Huh
Lacoste 🐊🐊🐊is dangerous. Local government must now pump water and purify it for our people, 1 death is way too much.
It could have been avoided if the anc had provided running water for them
Village life can be extreme sport. Something they don't tell you 😭
Dlula_B Yeses!!!
This is really painful. People stay near one of the largest dams in South Africa and still have no running water in their households. Poltics has failed our people. Do vhaisala mahn.
Nothing will change as long as the same Villagers still believes in the ANC administration
I don't feel sorry for my fellow Limpopians . They love their ANC that denies them basic needs .
This is where successful black South African natives ought to help out, there is a need to purchase and demarcate land as private to keep our beasts separated from civilians.
Iam not surprise. Is life we are living in it in limpopo. I told them ANC don't do nothing to us, they say Iam mad. Now this is madness so it's service delivery we get under Anc. CyrilRamaphosa give his Cadres water tank construct to supply water.
Hendricksnino77 I am so excited and grateful to you 🥰 Hendricksnino77 with the management of R25.500.000 and you gave us this opportunity to shine and get rich in this company, thank you very much Mr Hendricksnino77
🙆🏽♂️😳
At my village,I know and feel the pain, she's my sister, people are forced to go to the dam because we don't have water for a very long time, but we stay next to the dam😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭please help PresidencyZA
Let's normalize tagging government officials on such articles.
My condolence to the family
This is really sad. In 2022, we still have people going to a dam to do their laundry. Something needs to be done.
MbalulaFikile CyrilRamaphosa MYANC after 28 years people are still drinking with animals 🤔🤔🤔
ANC government
This accurately reflects on the failures of the government to provide running water, now they resort to doing laundry at the dam
Not trying to sound insensitive or whatever but they also eat crocodiles so I guess it's a draw!
One was spoted last week in a river near our homes.
This couldve been avoided if someone never stole millions just to go to konka.
The poor croc. He must get some victims to combat infection. But on a lighter note - with the state of the country - how is this news? Can't you liberals think of better news? Wtf
When South Africa is busy fighting foreign nationals and investors (Xenophobia) they forget to build critical infrastructure. A country without running water is essentially ghost/failed state
Wait, that's the village where i was born and raised 😳
kabelodick What
kabelodick If ANC provided water, she was not gonna go to the dam to do laundry
So heartbreaking 😪💔
This people keep on voting for ANC..
