Here at Peace Pavilion West, the Leader mandates bug-eating and locally sourced water-sharing between community factions. The People will rise up and defeat all corporations so that we may be in harmony with Nature’s pure will.

I don't know. Children after tasting this will reach for it even though it has no nutritional value whatsoever. they will want it more than regular food. that is not healthy. tax it? they should ban it.

Why is trying to do the right thing in America ALWAYS met with senseless opposition? I hope the measures fail.

There are plenty of thirst quenching beverages other than soda which is like, so last century.

I voted 3 days ago and there wasn't anything on the ballot about taxing sugary drinks in Oregon, maybe you're confused with one of the other O states like 'O'hio or 'O'klahoma

Tax then, Washington and Oregon! We need business out here in midwest!

And yet tampons are still taxed in most of the us

Ther is not enough data to support that these taxes even prevent less consumption or improve human health. It is just another way for the government to tax us.

They did a nice job of obfuscating the purpose with their wording, too. I might have fallen for it if I hadn’t found ballotpedia and realized who funded the push for this. Hope other WA residents aren’t fooled.

Wow, maybe we should try to not tax feminine products. Peoplebare more worried about sugary drinks than feminine products. Things we need to buy...

Yes. Very important that we tax the fk out of anything not vegetables

NoTo1634 don't let corporations dictate laws!

Classic corporate manipulation. But all deny.

Please people stop putting this high fructose corn syrup in your bellies this is causing serious inflammation build up in your system, diabetes and teeth problems. Puzzling how they know its bad but as long as they can tax it they don't care if you get sick and die from it.

I stopped drinking soda in January and lost 25 pounds. I didn't even drink that much. High Fructose Corn syrup causes Fatty Liver. Carbonated drinks just inflate your stomach; pushing food out of your stomach, thus making you get hungry quicker. Drink CrystalLight. Lose LBS

Cities have turned the taxing power into a tool of social control. I don't drink sugary sodas, but the soda manufacturers' involvement is irrelevant.

Cant stand anyone getting rich off of the promotion of slow death, ie cancer and diabetes
