The suit alleges that during the first season, which aired in 2008, the cast was planning to attend a barbecue, and Zolciak-Biermann responded to the idea with "words to the effect of: 'I don't want to sit around with NeNe and eat chicken."' The suit says the statement "perpetuated an offensive stereotype about African-Americans."

"From the day the series began filming, NeNe was the target of systemic racism from co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen and other executives," Leakes's lawyer David deRubertis said in a statement.Leakes and Andy Cohen are seen attending a Bravo party in December 2010 in New York.

lmao! 'the racism is fine until you cut me from the show, now its wrong'. this is why we dont take this stuff seriously

So the first racist remarks were in 2008 and you stuck around till 2020 ? Not sure how you could claim a hostile work environment after you spent over 12 yrs. there and only after you were not asked to return for season 13 you make these allegations .

Real. Right…

NeNe Leakes? Who knew? No shame in that. Izzat her real name? I admire her for sharing publicly, but Always or Poise can mitigate the embarrassment of Leakes-ing. Then maybe she can change her name to NoNo Leakes, at least not visibly. Guess she really is getting 'Real.' lol

If poc are going to accuse everyone who wronged them of racism, that's a problem for all of us. It makes for a toxic environment and a legitimate reason to exclude them from activities.

Really? This is news?

A bunch of rich southeners are racist? Colour me surprised.

The headline should read: Entitled prima donna plays the race card.

She was VERY hostile and mean, and i am sure many of her reality co stars would agree

File this under nobody gives a shit.
