As long as the monies aren't lining the pockets of Tanzania's leaders, and its being reinvested in needed infrastructure to help build a thriving middle class I'm fine with it. However Africa has a pathetic history of siphoning monies into their leaders personal bank accounts.

Mining is the backbone of wealth creation. A war on mining only impoverishes the economy and its participants as a whole. Anyone that declares war on mining, declares war on prosperity.
