Twitter chief executive Parag Agrawal seeks to quell employee anger during a company-wide meeting where workers demand answers to how managers plan to handle an anticipated mass exodus prompted by Elon Musk's purchase of the company.

Employees also told executives they feared Mr Musk's erratic behaviour could destabilise Twitter's business, and hurt it financially as the company prepares to address the advertising world in a presentation next week in New York City.

Sarah Personette, Twitter's chief customer officer, said the company was working to communicate frequently with advertisers and reassure them "the way that we service our customers is not changing". "The PR speak is not landing. They told us don't leak and do a job you are proud of, but there is no clear incentive for employees to do this," the employee told Reuters, noting that compensation for non-executive staffers is now capped because of the deal.

Freedom isn't free. Thank you my brother you rock

Criticism of someone’s policies is not an attack. It’s not personal.

💪

He should appoint Trump to the board for a while... just to watch the bed-wetters heads explode.

If they don't like it they can start their own platform.

Erratic behaviour might cost Twitter financially. What a stupid comment. Tesla seems to be doing ok.

ABC's soft power in action Four Corners from One Angle, only gov narrative deserved to exist

Good, sack them.

When some else tells you they can do it better. Well that is what I call presumption, you can’t say you can do it better unless you have done it before and he had not, nor will he do better. This logic would fail him.

So says the taxpayer funded broadcaster which is essentially a leftist workers collective. Run by nobody…

Sooky sooky la la's .

'How could this happen to us!?!?!?!'. The screeching is music.

Looking forward to hearing more than government approved truth.

Looks like the staff are making Elon’s job easier.

You want capitalism? U got it.. thing is if you have the money to buy something you can.

Corporations always say they love their employees but then can retrench hundreds with so little care for those affected. Corporations don't love employees, they love profit. Musk's FOS crap is just another way of cutting costs because it means fewer ppl required to moderate.

Musk says he's going to cut unneccessary management overhead, so to get rid of the world's most highly paid non productive overhead he should quit and get paid like other workers. He's a marketing manager, not a real worker.

Up you ABC. what the f is ' people abc' can only comment😡

Sack em all. Everyone's sick of changing details every time someone can't handle a adult debate.

Do these Twitter employees this they work at the ABC and run the joint ?

You do realise he’s buying it because he isn’t happy with the content moderation processes … right ?

Shut up and do what you are employed to do your job.

Nothing like a snowflake clean out.

‘Attacks’ 😂😂😂 You leftists though…

A little hard to show outraged indignation when criticised for doing a shit job when it is obvious you are doing a shit job.

Wow, ABC just has to throw the 'Australia is Racist' in there.

I’d love for this to happen at the ABC too. God knows it needs it.

New boss, new rules, no sympathy

Radical leftism is in meltdown. So delicious

Same as those at the ABC. Either learn to live with new rules or go work elsewhere.

It’s probably for the best that they leave. You can’t have people who don’t understand the value of free speech moderating social networks.

elonmusk

Those employees could leave and start their own...

They should go build their own Twitter.

Those employees should cope.

Reckon Elon's about to get bone spurs and go missing when it counts.

Nobody really cares if they leave. They are all replaceable with probably much better and more innovative / creative workers than they are. Let them leave.

The poor luvies lost their safe space.

Resign and leave.
