KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 — A company secretary for both 1Malaysia Development Berhad and its predecessor Terengganu Investment Authority Berhad in the past today told the High Court that he was acquainted with Low Taek Jho before becoming a company secretary for TIA in 2009.
Asked by Najib’s lawyer Wan Aizuddin Wan Mohammed how his acquaintance with Low started, Lim explained: “He approached us to render some corporate services work to some companies he recommended.” Confirming that he had assisted in incorporating TIA in February 2009, Lim stressed that it was not an individual who had appointed him as TIAs company secretary and that it was instead a collective decision by the TIA’s board of directors.
