Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces new gun control legislation in Ottawa, Ontario, on Monday.
“Countries that do a good job of controlling guns do a good job of controlling gun violence,” Mendicino said in an interview with The Associated Press.Bill Blair, minister of emergency preparedness, said Canada is very different from the United States. Blair noted guns are often smuggled in illegally from the U.S., which he noted has one of the largest small arms arsenals in the world.
The government said it will require rifle magazines to be permanently altered so they can never hold more than five rounds and will ban the sale and transfer of large-capacity magazines under the Criminal Code.
Canadians must be rebelling en masse, irate at their government for trampling their God-given rights! Oh, hold on, I’m being told they’re fine with it.

If Canada can take proactive measures learning from the tragedy which unfolds in US intermittently to control firearms what prevents the US the epicentre of manslaughtering over the years from ringing in tough legislative measures. Are the senators so beholden to the Arms lobby.
