Federal Energy Minister Chris Bowen has blamed the intervention by Australia's energy regulator on the electricity market, on under-investment in renewable energy technology:

Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen said that he has been working with state energy ministers to devise a "comprehensive plan" to address the energy supply.Energy and Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen has blamed Australia's previous governments' approaches to renewable energy investment after Australia's energy regulator, The Australian Energy Market Operator , took control today of the national electricity market on Wednesday.

"We have avoided lockouts and avoided load-shedding so far and yesterday was an extreme action, not taken lightly but it was a judgement that it was what was absolutely necessary to act in the best interests of consumers to intervene and close the market and take control and that's what happened yesterday."

"This is a crisis driven by unexpected outages in coal-fired power stations because the fleet is ageing... The previous government played out for nine years and had 23 different energy policies and denied the challenges and opportunities and chance for a comprehensive economic policy."

The state has a monopoly on energy and power if you can control the amount of energy you can and have and provide they are next to useless to silence you and your activities.

Under investment of what ? Countries are going bankrupt due to climate cult as such

BOWEN IS A TOTAL FAILURE 🔥 !!!!

Chris Bowen wouldn't know his a-hole from his elbow He is a child - all he knows is how to have a tantrum in front of the cameras

Our electricity is owned by people who despise us… ‘48% of AusNet is publicly listed on the ASX, 32% is owned by Singapore Power which is controlled by Singapore government investment fund Temasek and the remaining 20% is owned by State Grid of China.’

FACT CHECK : BULLSHIT

So its not my fault? LOL

Rubbish

And hes totally correct. Morrison's govt had a decade to produce a National Energy Policy, and produced a pamphlet.

Bowen has just shown he has no idea

Labor in opposition had 10 years to propose solutions for energy security so careful with the blame game ?

So what’s your plan? Except blaming others

Western elites were in the grip of an ideology that made them incapable of understanding the hard realities of energy production. China’s Xi and Russia’s Putin took advantage of the delusions of the decadent West, and now we are all paying the price.

Government intervention in the market is responsible for almost all market failures. If he was serious, he'd be advocating for the lifting of the nuclear power moratorium.

mmm.... well of course he has... it's a fact... LNP policy was to maintain the status quo, leave regulation to the free market... no taxes for the market corporate mates... ALP has to fix everything across govt so that Australians have a fair go...
