, with a slew of corporations vowing to expand health benefits to cover employee travel expenses to obtain abortions.

In the wake of the high court ruling, Walt Disney on Friday said it would cover employee travel costs for"family planning" for employees who can't access care where they live, including"pregnancy-related decisions." Disney employs 195,000 people, including about 80,000 in Florida. "We recognize the impact of the ruling and that we remain committed to providing comprehensive access to quality and affordable care for all our employees, cast members and their families, including family planning and reproductive care, no matter where they live," a Disney spokesperson stated in an email to CBS MoneyWatch. on Friday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis praised the Supreme Court's ruling striking down Roe v. Wade.

Dick's Sporting Goods said it would reimburse as much as $4,000 in abortion travel costs"to the nearest location that care is legally available" for workers, their spouses and dependents. "We are making this decision so our teammates can access the same health care options, regardless of where they live, and choose what is best for them," Ed Stack, the company's executive chairman, and CEO Lauren Hobart said in a statement posted on social media.

But no enhanced benefits for New Mother's.

I mean if this is a benefit they can offer to get people to work then so be it🤷‍♀️ if it’s a benefit you think you’ll need there will be options. Everyone needs to chill and just let people choose for themselves. Stop thinking anyone but those it affects need a day🤷‍♀️

Shame on them. Put an end to America's murder epidemic.

Wow. Walt is spinning in his grave over this one

Why is this news? States and private sector making predicted adjustments after something that always belonged at the state level was sent back to the states.

Anything they pay these murderers should be doubled for those that have a baby and bring GODS miracle into the world

Keep your eyes on the prize mi Amigos - Democrats own highest inflation, own highest ⛽ gas prices, own highest crime in US Cities ever and zero baby 🍼 formula and they don't have any time left to correct any before November.

How many of these companies have actually contributed to Republican campaigns? It's not like the past 40 years didn't involve actively destabilizing the Courts in order to achieve this. Give me a break.

This is wrong for them to do so. It also sends the wrong message to those that support the right to life. I hope they lose a lot of business by picking sides.

It's financially wise for them to encourage the elimination an offspring before they can be put on the employees policy.

Question is, why did they support the Republican humps in the first place?

Cheaper than childbirth care and parental leave.

Companies like Disney should pay their employees better and help them with unwanted pregnancy prevention programs not encourage them to get pregnant unnecessarily

Cheaper than maternal/paternal leave and health care costs offered by most big Corps.

I appreciate the thought, but this is bullshit. They should be fighting this, not enabling it.

That’s great another excuse for health insurance companies to increase premiums. Our government hates us and wants us divided let’s just vote them all out.

The Supreme Court should make sex outside of marriage punishable by execution for immorality. How else can you compete with Afghanistan. Citizens are not allowed to do what feels good. They must obey authority.

Why not offer to cover maternity leave?

In the last days people will become lovers of themselves and immoral and wicked.

Yeah - just what girls wanna do - “sorry boss but I gotta take tomorrow off to go get an abortion…”

They don't like dicks anyway. Ohh, they got paid by democrats to protest.

Big corporations today are part of the narrative. They’re politically correct woke institutions

Premeditated murder!

Reacted but will continue to donate to Republicans and SC Justices. Hypocrisy.

Disney doesn't realize how expensive it will be to fly their employees from Florida to New York city amd the violent crime rate here in places like subway haha

'THE REPUBLICAN DREAM' Let's go back now to those glorious days of Republican/Conservative Supreme Court yesteryear, when women were obedient, persons of color were subservient, homosexuality was outlawed and only white men could vote. Quiet part out loud

Companies are allowed to compensate employees however they choose, including healthcare. Good for these companies. What happens if someone wants to leave the state for a different medical procedure? That paid for as well?

So will they give the same amount to the women who have the children?

Cheaper to pay for an abortion then maternity leave, health insurance, prenatal care etal. Business decision.

They do need to cover revenue falls.

Nothing says “I value our women workers” like paying women for killing babies so they can not be distracted at work by things like pesky children.

Can't help but wonder how many of these donated to the Republican party that brought us this mess.

That's great if you happen to be employed by one of these organizations. What about everyone else?

Of course they are. It’s a quarter of what maternity pay would be.

Not with this inflation 😂

Ok murderers.

Strange how many are willing to do that but not pay a living wage. 🤔

How deep can Disney dig their own grave? It only needs to be 6 feet deep🤷🏻‍♂️

Good to know which companies I will no longer do business with!

Are these companies also vowing to expand benefits to cover travel for say, out of state referrals to cancer centers or other medical specialists?

Will they do the same for illnesses?

Yeah it's cheaper than maternity leave

Why Lower employee productivity no maternity leave.

In 2022 men & women should use their brains more before they use their genitals. In most cases you don't need abortion if you think before you f**k contraceptives RoeOverturned RoeVWade ProLife AbortionIsNotHealthcare abortus SCOTUS ClarenceThomas

It’s cheaper to kill those babies than pay for maternity/paternity leave I guess.

How about they just pull all funding to the Republican Party?

I really don't care what companies say when it comes to politics. We should be celebrating the advances in female medicine and the choices they do have.

VASECTOMY!!! For each unwanted pregnancy there’s a male impregnator…let there be consequences!

God bless the supreme court justices who bravely and correctly overturned Roe v Wade. I am filled with gratitude and joy.

Antifa rioted in LA attacked a woman in Seattle will democrats condemn this

Without abortion the population would have passed 400 million long ago. How's that drain on national resources working out? Plus a good portion of your female employees would not be working but they would be spending more on stuff for children. Lower GNP? Or higher?

How do they handle the abortion issue in Russia, their pal Biden's biggest enemy? Ha ha ha, just couldn't help typing that out.

Thank you Disney & the other companies.

Disney owns Fox so fox is Disney if you pay attention to how Disney has been producing stuff that Fox flips out about when are we gonna say hey they're doing that on purpose

These people won’t give you enough money to raise your family on a single income but they WILL give you enough to kill your family and get back to work

How about investing in contraceptives, no gender limitations, for both?

I guess I never realized how many people are going for abortions regularly. 🤔

It’s definitely cheaper for them to cover some travel expense as opposed to healthcare coverage for another dependent.
